Short answer
Zippy Robo is about when you reverse, not how often. Each obstacle passed is +1, dust is +3, and a new room opens every 30 points. Speed rises the longer you survive, so tap early, make small corrections, and keep the robot near the middle of the corridor.
How a run works
The robot moves sideways on its own all the time. A tap anywhere reverses its direction, and that is the only control. Obstacles scroll toward you down a straight corridor, and touching a wall or an obstacle ends the run.
- +1 point for each obstacle you pass.
- +3 points for each dust pile you collect. Dust nearby is pulled toward the robot, so you do not need a pixel-perfect pass.
- A new room every 30 points: Living Room, Kitchen, Office, Bathroom, Space Station, and the Underworld at 150 and above.
Why it gets harder
Two things ramp up during a run. The game speeds up as you move into later rooms, and obstacles appear more often as time passes: the rate steps up at 10, 20, 30 and 45 seconds. A run that felt easy at the start has very different timing a minute later.
Tips that keep you alive
- Live in the middle. Because the robot never stops, hugging one side leaves you no room to react. Reverse before you reach the wall, not at it.
- Read two obstacles ahead. Plan the gap after next, so each reverse sets you up for the following one.
- Tap early at speed. In later rooms the robot covers more ground between your decision and the tap landing. Start earlier than feels natural.
- Take dust that is on your path. Dust is worth three obstacles, but a detour into a tight gap costs the run. The pull helps you grab dust you are already near.
- Avoid double taps. Two quick taps cancel out and leave you heading for the obstacle you meant to avoid.
- Use pause. If you are interrupted, pause rather than playing distracted.
