Read every country in the Whyworld app
All 20 countries and six regions, ranked by how widely each story is covered, with the reason it is in the news today. Coming December on iPhone and Android.
How these topics are picked
Whyworld reads public signals for each country — search trends, the volume of news coverage, Wikipedia pageviews and publisher feeds — and ranks topics by how widely and how fast they are being covered. Each topic links to the outlets it was built from.
Short lines marked “AI summary” are written by AI from at least two sources. Sensitive topics (war, death, crime, health, elections) show only the headline and source links, with no AI text.
